Ava's broken leg fund

I am trying to raise money to get my tiny chihuahua in to a vet for a broken leg. She is a tiny little girl, under 5 lbs, and her and my dogs got into a fight over a dropped piece of food. In the midst of it, she was stepped on my my bigger, 75 lb dog, and her leg is clearly broken. We called numerous vets in the area to get her in and were denied due to not having the $500.00 + cash at the time of service. It pains me to think that our pets are not treated as our children or ourselves. Would a hospital turn us away if we took our child there with a broken leg due to not having funds? We have temporarily splinted her ourselves, and are taking the best care possible of her that we can until someone will see her. If she does not get seen soon, she takes the risk of having her leg heal wrong, and needed surgery or worse, not being able to use that leg any more.
