Bridge of Love - Kisii Orphanage

The Lord connected us to the leadership of this orphanage in Kisii, Kenya, in October 2014 using my husband and I to be a bridge of God's love into these children's lives. Through His grace God initially used my blog writings to pour spiritually into their lives, and then began stretching us into a new place of giving and support for these children to see their needs met in a different way. He used us to supply the orphanage with food to keep them from going to bed hungry and then to supply them with new mattresses to replace old ones that were thorny and thin as well as mesquito nets to cover their beds and blankets to keep them warm and protected from the elements. With the help of others we were able to purchase the children new shoes as some would walk barefoot to school and others had shoes that were worn thin.
The children are excited and happy for the way God is changing their lives through our love and support. They are truly feeling and seeing His love poured out upon them through this giving as it is connected to the hand and heart of God.
Our prayers through all this are that these children would feel God's love, that they will feel His protection and provision as they grow in their understanding of their identity as children of the King, and that they experience His presence in their dwelling and abiding in the secret place of the Most High as spoken of in Psalms 91.

This is indeed a calling from God to serve these children. And to go forward in this He has led us to create this "Go Fund Me" account to share the heart of God and the needs of these children through this call. With this account it is our prayer that He will touch your heart as well to sow into the lives and hearts of these children. This orphanage has been supported by the tithes and offerings of a small congregation of believers in the Kisii church along with other "well wishers". As the Lord has brought us alongside to pour into their lives, we ask you to pray about this to support in a small or a large way, possibly on a monthly basis, to help with the needs that continue to arise, Their immediate and monthly needs are listed below. Please consider supporting this effort. In doing so we know you will be eternally blessed. You can't out give God. He continues to give back to you in ways that money can't buy.

Also we have found in this new leg of our journey for God's Word to be true, that "Where your treasure is there your heart will be also." (Matt 6:21), for as we sent our first seed of blessing it connected us to these children in a deeper and richer way, our heart truly followed the seed and was enlarged in our love towards them. God is doing a WORK OF LOVE in us in many ways, through stretching us in our giving, in enlarging our hearts, and in connecting us to His heart of "helping the weak and the fatherless."

We see this as a Kingdom orphanage full of kingdom children that He is raising up and that He has brought us to be a part of. May God richly bless you as you respond to His call. (Please share with your friends and family.)

Monthly Needs of the orphanage:
Monthly support for $615/month food bill
School fees $800 for 3 month term (Jan-Mar, May-July, Sept-Nov)
Medical needs $10/month per child
Clothing needs $5/month per child
