Hopkinsville Dog Park

Donation protected

The Hopkinsville Dog Park is a planned recreational facility on Pardue Lane.  The park’s scheduled opening is before year-end of 2015, pending a successful fundraising campaign.

The Park will be designed such that small dogs, large dogs, and even particularly active dogs have their own recreation area within the park.

While the City of Hopkinsville allotted the land for the park and Hopkinsville City Council approved $50,000 for use towards the Dog Park in 2015-16’s budget, the Hopkinsville Dog Park is a public-private partnership.  The Hopkinsville-Christian and Todd County Association of Realtors is the primary (private) fundraising organizer and advocate for the Hopkinsville Dog Park.  Infrastructure and a portion of the construction costs will be covered within the $50,000 allotted to the project, however, further fundraising and sponsorships are needed to turn the land in to a dog park.

After fencing and connecting other basic infrastructure needs like sidewalks and water, the budgeted $50,000 will be spent.  To further complete the areas inside the fence, we’ll need to raise an additional $25,000 (Phase One).  To make the park a more enjoyable spot for dogs and their humans alike, we’ll need to raise additional funds to install dog-friendly activities (Phase Two).

Whether it's $1 or $10,000 every dollar counts.  We appreciate your help!  Want to get more involved? Email us!
