Hot Dogs for Homeless

J.R. Galardi, owner of Wienerschnitzel , and Mike Smith, Founder of Skate For Change, have collaborated their philanthropic passions to create Wienerschnitzel’s Hot Dogs for the Homeless Tour - a month-long philanthropic adventure to help those in need.
Traveling the country in a 40-foot Wienerschnitzel-wrapped RV, the tour will visit 18 U.S. cities throughout the month of April, visiting communities with large homeless populations. The crew will serve Wienerschnitzel hot dogs and provide socks, clothing, hats, hygiene kits, and other necessities to those who need it the most.
In addition to providing much-needed support to the homeless, the tour will stop at high schools along the way to support Mike’s motivational speaking. The Hot Dogs for the Homeless crew will participate on panels to communicate the significance of higher education as well as the importance of giving back and making a difference in your community.
While on campus, Wienerschnitzel hot dogs will be served during lunch, with 100% of the donations raised going back to Skate For Change. Wienerschnitzel has also committed to matching the amount raised at each stop to double the total donation back to the organization.
