We are 7 high school Freshman girls from Rumson FairHaven Regional High School and Red Bank Regional High School who will travel to the Dominican Republic the second poorest country in the Western Hemisphere. Throughout our high school years with our dad's we will continue to have a positive impact on the impoverished island which is located so close to our
country.
This year we will building aqueducts in an undeveloped village. This doesn't sound like much
but it will literally change lives. Bringing clean water to the people that live there. Why do we need $3,500? This will cover the cost of material, local construction expertise and transportation to and from the Compound and the compo.
We are working with Dr. Brian Campolattaro an eye surgeon who has worked with ILAC (Institute of Latin American Concerns) for many years. ILAC was started in 1980 to teach health and agriculture techniques to poor Dominicans. The center serves almost 500,000 of the poorest citizens and many of them have the opportunity to receive life saving surgery from the
many doctors present without charge.
We are already off to good start the RFH Spanish Honor Society graciously donated $500 from
their recent car wash to jump start our endeavor. But we need more help!!
Any amount that you can donate will help make to a difference - $5, $10, or $20! Whatever you can give, we thank you!
