BC Belize Mission Trip
Donation protected
Every spring break since 2007, Benedictine College has sent a group of students on Catholic mission to the Central American country of Belize.
We call Benque Viejo Del Carmen, Belize home for around eight days. For five days, we work in the city doing a variety of mission work.
Mornings are divided up between the group. The women of the trip go to Mt. Carmel Primary School to work with teachers, aiding as english and math tutors. The men on the trip help the community with some building maintenance and construction.
During the afternoons, once the children are out of classes, we put on a hour and a half soccer camp. The camp is divided by age or skill level, younger ones playing simple games and older ones doing drills and games.
The trip is not only a time to help to people of Benque but it is also a chance for us to focus on our faith. We are lead through nightly Bible studies and have time alotted for personal prayer and reflection. We also try to attend daily mass or an hour of Eucharistic adoration. For the past two years Franciscan University, who also has a group on mission while we are there, invites us in for a time of praise and worship with the opportunity for confessions.
This trip breaks the model for the stereotypical college spring break. This mission trip, and others, turn spring break from a time of self pleasure into a time of charity and personal growth.
Please support our mission!!!

Also if you have a prayer intention please let us know. We will be praying for all our supporters and their intentions while we are on mission.
