Anne Silberman is facing a series of costly medical procedures that will save her life.

The most serious is open heart surgery.

Anne received an aortic valve transplant six years ago.
And, while the operation saved her life, it, and other aggravating factors, exposed her to  a dangerously enlarged aorta.  

The doctors say an aortic aneuyerism is imminent, unless she has surgery very soon.

But, there are two problems.

Before she can receive the surgery, which would be mostly covered by Medicaid, she needs to have a tumor removed from her thyroid.  As of this writing, it is unknown whether the tumor is cancerous or not.

Recovery time for the tumor removal is estimated at about a month.

That surgery is also expected to be mostly covered by Medicaid.

But, before any surgeries can happen, Anne needs expensive dental work.  

Because she is a heart patient, there is a serious concern of infection from any problem in the mouth.

She needs a root canal, and other procedures immediately.

These are not covered by the insurance.

Also, Anne and my sister Linda, and for a time, I, will need to live in Albuquerque, New Mexico for the surgery and recovery.  That's where the closest heart institute is located.

This is where YOU come in.  

Anne needs money for the dentist.  

-For housing.  (we'd like to rent a 2-3 bedroom furnished house or condo in Albuquerque for at least 3 months)

-For food, bills, gas, and other living expenses.  

-And for incidental medical expenses that will be way above and beyond what Medicaid (God Bless Medicaid!) covers.
