Dear Friends and Family,
I have an opportunity to join my 8th grade class from Floresville Middle School and the WorldStrides educational program to visit Washington D.C. I believe that this trip will be a great chance to learn about our nation's history up close and personal. The great Winston Churchill shares that, “The farther back you can look, the farther forward you are likely to see.”
We'll spend a total of 4 days together in D.C. During this trip I will get to visit The Capitol, The White House, The Lincoln Memorial, Arlington National Cemetery, The Washington Monument, and the Smithsonian Museums. That's only naming a few! In addition to learning our history, I will be learning leadership skills and will meet new friends to share with in the experience. Many past students have said that the trip has inspired them and given them an appreciation for the freedom and privileges we have today. Along with this trip, I would also be able to use it toward my high school graduation credits.
As part of this experience I am fundraising for this trip. This is why I’m reaching out to you, my family and friends, to seek your financial support. In order to go on this awesome adventure I need to raise $1892 to cover my trip costs which include travel, food, and lodging. Please help me by sponsoring a portion of his trip (any amount helps)! Any contribution you make will help bring me much closer to this once-in-a-lifetime experience. With your help, I am able choose the experiences that will impact my life. I look forward to seeing what I can do to impact my generation for the future by what I can do today.
