Husker's Hope Medical Fund

Husker's Hope is dedicated to saving and working with Dachshunds with special needs.  Our medical bills are very high, and we rely on donations to help pay for those costs, as most of our fur kids are long-term, in their care.

Currently, we have over $3,000 in bills, with more than $5,000 in upcoming medical nees, to include surgeries of dental, reconstructive, customs walking carts, and ongoing medical therapies, which are never cheap.

We are blessed to have wonderful Veterinarian Staff, who afford us a rotating account.  However, it would be nice to be able to pay those bills, and be able to pay for the upcoming needs of our special fur-kids. 

In addition to our medical needs, we suffered a great upheaval of loss and destruction, when a tornado hit our Sanctuary, in May, 2014.  We have spent personal funds, in excess of $80K to rebuild, to include a 400sqft room, dedicated to our fur kids.  We are in great need of off-floor day beds, stainless steel working table, cabinets, counters and other build-ins, to make it the best possible set-up for our fur-kids' comfort.

We have made due with salvaging what we could from our deck and fencing, destroyed by the storm, to minimize the cost to rebuild.   Once we get the new construction paid for, we need to expand, again, to enable the space for more fur-kids, from around the country, waiting in the wings, for a spot to open up at the Sanctuary,   Sadly, many are time-sensitive, and our hearts break with every story we cannot give a happy ending to.  You can help!

Any amount is greatly appreciated!  We would gladly give the information, if anyone would like to donate, directly to our Veterinarians; and, if you have anything you can donate, carts, kennels, washable pee pads, blankets, washable rugs, counters, cabinets, shelving, etc., we would love to consider those as well!
