I Am Light is not just an awesome book, it is a project with the intention of sharing positive affirmations and yoga with children and their families and schools. If I'm able to reach my crowdfunding goal I will donate 10% of all printed books to non for profits, schools, children's hospitals and families in need.
My first book, My Little Light: my first postures was donated to many families in need, over 20 libraries, children's hospitals and even a nursery and primary school in Uganda.
I Am Light is a children's book where the main character starts his day like any other then finds himself on a great adventure. Each page of the journey has one yoga posture and a positive affirmation. The benefits of kids practicing yoga are extraordinary and through reading together yoga becomes something the entire family can share. This is the second book I have written for children connecting them to yoga through poetry in My Little Light and through storytelling in I Am Light.
Author Bio
Sarah Granato is a mama of 2, a yoga instructor, and writer. Creating books for children is a union of those passions. Her first book My Little Light: my first postures lives in homes all over the world as well as yoga studios, book shops, boutiques, libraries, and children’s hospitals.
Illustrator Bio
Valerie Willis Tower is an illustrator and designer in San Francisco. She has an MFA from California College of the Arts and has designed educational apps, media, toys, and experiences for kids. And of course, she is a lover of yoga. You can find more of her work at www.val-o-rie.com.
The funds will be used to:
print 2,040 board books in the USA (10% will be donated)
pay for illustrator
publishing fees
marketing

I aim to reach my fundraising goal by September so all contributors will receive their books by the October 2017.
