In an instant, your life can be forever changed......
On Sat Nov 29th, Grace Quiroz celebrated her son's birthday like any other mother might. Unfortunately, her celebration had an unexpected outcome. When Grace took her 7 year old son to Jumpstreet at Royal Center (a Dallas trampoline park) for his birthday party, she never imagined that her family's life would be forever changed. Grace suffered severe spinal damage that fractured her C5 and C6 vertebrae leaving her paralyzed.
This level of injury is considered to be a "worst case scenario" when it comes to spinal injuries. However, for anyone who knows Grace Quiroz, that means nothing. This woman will fight with every fiber of her being to recover. She will not fight for herself, but for her 3 amazing children and her husband. They are all by her side to make sure that she benefits from every opportunity possible.
Grace is currently at Baylor Medical Center receiving excellent care. Admitted into ICU and remaining there for 7 days, Grace went through a spinal surgery and will remain at Baylor Institutefor Rehabilitation for the coming months.
After surgery, Grace is able to turn her head, but she has a long way to go. As you might expect, this means unimaginable expenses for this family. Please join us in supporting this family through thoughts, prayers and financial contributions. Grace's recovery will not be possible without intense therapy and rehabilitation.
I wish that it were easier to put this woman's spirit into words. A vibrant, upbeat, hard working mother of three children has found herself in an unexpected situation, to say the least. Packing morning school lunches and attending afternoon soccer practices has been replaced by physical therapy sessions for a mother determined to walk again. If you were to meet Grace, you would know first hand the need to support her and her family during this time. Please take this opportunity to make a real difference in Grace's recovery.
