In Memory of Henry Carr
Donation protected
My father Henry Carr passed Sunday evening in Tonalea, Arizona in the Navajo Nation. A celebrated and esteemed member of our community, we remember him for his humility, grace, and loving nature.
Born January 15, 1932 my dad was a Korean War veteran who served in the Air Force as a Munitions System Specialist in 1952. He was of the Manygoats clan born for the Zuni Edgewater clan and resided in Tonalea, Arizona.
My dad loved his family and was wholly devoted to them. Father of ten children, he also adopted a son and raised three of his grandchildren. As a born-again Christian he helped pioneer a church for his community, which now sits next to his home--Red Lake Full Gospel Church.
Many will remember him as the cashier at the historic Old Red Lake Trading Post, and from his 31 years as a bus driver for Tonalea Day School.
Your contributions and sentiments encourage us to celebrate my dad's memory, thank you for your support.
