We are Stefano, Rumi, Nibras, Andrea and Enrico. We are a team of creatives based in Italy and UK and we decided to start our project "INTER(sectional)VIEWS".
Multiple discrimination (or multi-discrimination) occurs when a person is treated less favourably because of more than one of protected characteristics such as age, disability, gender and gender reassignment, pregnancy/maternity, race, religion/belief, sexual orientation. Many victims of discrimination often do not feel represented by their own communities, which may not accept some members as a result of stereotyped attitudes or prejudice relating to particular combinations of the protected characteristics. This is what creates internal discriminatory hierarchies within communities, with the result of divisions and exclusion of social groups.
INTER(sectional)VIEWS will be a web documentary aiming to raise awareness on how an intersectional approach to the discriminations issue can be the right solution to talk about human rights in newer and more inclusive terms.
We had the chance to interview 30 people all over Europe and now we need your SUPPORT to help us making this project the more professional possible.
