iPads for Patients affected by COVID-19

WE ARE STILL ACCEPTING DONATIONS DESPITE REACHING OUR $8000 GOAL! We would love to reach and help as many people as possible!
COVID-19 has immensely impacted communities across Ontario and some of our hospitals have been the epicentre of its casualties. They’ve had to restrict visitors to prevent further spread of the virus. These circumstances have led to countless patients having to suffer and unfortunately pass away, in isolation. But, it has also surfaced a call to action to fight for our humanity more so now than ever. The goal of our fundraiser is to help as many patients as possible by donating iPads to hospitals so that they can reconnect with their loved ones.
The money that is donated will be used to purchase refurbished video chat capable iPads to hospitals that have displayed a need for them within Ontario. The selection of iPads as the device of choice is because of its simplicity and the availability of FaceTime as well as the ability to use other third party apps such as Skype, Zoom, and Google Hangouts.
We created this GoFundMe to give people the opportunity to donate to a cause that will directly help patients within hospitals who are affected by COVID-19.
Your donations in any capacity would help tremendously towards this cause. We are also equally appreciative of any non-financial commitments that you may be able to make such as sharing this page, spreading the word, or even becoming a volunteer. Please message us for more information or any ideas that you might have.
