Rombach Family Recovery Fund
Donation protected
This fund has been set up to help defray some of the financial burden of travelling and living away from home while Chloe recovers. Please respect the Rombach family's request for peace at this time. All proceeds from this fund will go directly to the Rombach family.

Hi Gang – I have some terrible news to convey and I am asking you for your prayers. My 22 year old daughter Chloe was hit by a car while she was crossing the street Tuesday night Dec 9 at about 5:30PM in North Hampton, MA where she lives. She was dragged some distance and pinned under the car for about 20 minutes before paramedics could extract her. She has suffered severe brain injury, multiple deep lacerations and severe 3rd degree burns on her left buttock which was pressed up against the hot car engine. Last Thursday she underwent multiple complex surgery for her head trauma and other wounds at Bay State Medical Center in Springfield, MA and Friday was taken via medevac helicopter to Mass General ICU Trauma center. My wife and I and our other daughter AJ are devastated and have been through hell these past few days. The best Christmas presents all of you could give the Rombach family in general and Chloe in particular would be your prayers for her recovery.
As you might imagine, Jeannie and I are utterly overwhelmed with emails, text messages and phone calls from friends and relatives who are offering up prayers and wanting to know updates. Unfortunately this is draining us of energy we need to spend on Chloe so we have started a journal on the Caring Bridge website. You can create a (free) account on the following link to receive updates on Chloe’s status at Caringbridge.org/visit/ chloerombach. However, don’t mistake “Tribute Donation” on the Caring Bridge website for a donation that is going to fund expenses for Chloe.
God Bless You,
Eduardo

Today we received a briefing from Dr. Ron Hirshberg, a brain rehabilitation expert at MGH, for a prognosis on Chloe's brain injury and prospect for her recovery. The MRI she received on Saturday reveals deep injury on all three levels of her brain, lower, middle & upper, with most of the damage occurring in the middle level. In addition, there is evidence of Hypoxia, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hypoxia_%28medical%29oxygen, or oxygen deprivation which may have occurred when she was pinned under the car.. Chloe has not shown any signs of waking up since she arrived at Bay State Medical Center the evening of Dec 9. The doctors and specialists are concerned that she has not tried to wake; however, Dr. Hirshberg said that although Chloe's brain injuries are significant, they are not total and every brain is different. Chloe's chances of recovery are not zero percent but the odds are long. We have not forgotten hope and are continuing to radiate peace and love energy.
Dear Jesus, savior of the world who can heal all things, we are asking you for a Christmas miracle. Please send our lovely song bird Chloe flying back to us. Amen.
