We need your help to continue the work on developing the Cork LGBT Archive.
Cork LGBT Archive aims to preserve, digitise, share and display information about Cork's rich LGBT history. A digital archive is being developed Cork LGBT Digital Archive as well as another site that traces the chronology of the development of the community Cork LGBT History.
A key source of information is the Arthur Leahy Collection - a private collection which has been gathered since the 1970s and contains posters, leaflets, newsletters etc. This invaluable collection has been stored for many years in a damp basement and some of the materials have been damaged. It needs to be sorted and stored in proper acid-free boxes to prevent any further damage and to preserve these valuable materials. We need funds to buy these acid free boxes and other supplies for the archive.
Can you help? Any donation would really be appreciated and would help with the work of making this important community history more visible. The Cork Gay Project will ask as fiscal agents for any funds raised.
