A fire in Rowlett flattened a horse stable late Saturday December 20th, 2014
Firefighters rescued 10 or 11 horses from Rowlett Stables at Rowlett and Miller roads.
Eric Zimmerman, a Rowlett fire department investigator, said the cause of the fire is under investigation. All that’s left of the stable is debris, he said. “When the structure is a total loss like that, sometimes it takes time,” he said.
Rowlett Stables has been on the site for more than 40 years.
I have started this campaign for Sandy Jerome the owner of the stables for over 40 years. They re in desperate need at this time and we know it is the holidays but somehow I pray people will find it in their hearts to donate something.
I spoke with sandy and she and the family is overwhelmed at this time but are thankful for all the help they have received cleaning up and support.
