Millie is the sweetest little kitten you could ever meet. She purrs and snuggles into you when you hold her. She loves to curl up on laps and even under the Christmas tree!
Yesterday, Millie, my 4-month-old kitten was bitten by a dog and suffered severe injuries including a scratched cornia, lesion to her eye and a skull fracture that needs urgent medical attention.
Our vet has done all she can to ease Millie's pain, but she has referred my sweet baby girl to a specialist that can try to save her life.
I am devastated. I brought this darling kitten home last week and now to see her fight for her life...I can't express how broken my heart is.
But, you can help little Millie.
I am doing what I can to get her all the right medical attention, but as many pet lovers know, it can be extremely expensive to care for a sick animal. That's why I created this GoFundMe page, because I am a student and am struggling to cover the costs that are necessary to get my sweet baby better.
I am not usually one to ask for money, but I think Millie deserves a chance at life...she's only a baby... and I am hoping to raise $3000 to cover some of the costs of her recovery. I'm not sure the total cost for her surgery - likely much more than this, but if I can get at least some of funds to help my little Millie, then it is worth it.
**UPDATE** due to the generosity of my parents I was able to cover a large chunk of Millie's medical bill, but I am still shy of the total costs. I have lowered my goal to $1200 to fill the gap that my parents were not able to afford. ***
I'm sorry if this story isn't well written or eloquently explained, I am still very shaken up by everything and am having trouble not breaking down as I write this. I just want you to know that anything you can donate would be appreciated so, so, so greatly. I wish I could express how deeply I love this tiny kitten, and your donation would help me bring my sweet Millie home.
