A Cappella Academy Summer 2016

Hi, my name is Reno Selmser and I am sixteen years old.  I recently found out that I was accepted into A Capella Academy, a 10 day summer vocal  intensive and was thrilled by this news!  I love singing and have for as long as I can remember.  Music has always been a part of my life; I started playing the piano when I was around four and played for a long time, but was never fully satisfied as a musician.  When I was around eight I started playing violin.  Due to lack of violas in my community orchestra and the fact that my teacher was a violist I made the switch to Viola and have never regreted it.  Although instrumental music for me was always shifting around, I found that singing was always present.  When I was eight I joined my first choir.  There I learned what choral and chamber singing were and soon fell in love.  I continued singing in the children's choir as an alto up until this last year.  I am primarily a bass and being switched to bass in my choir was the first time that I was truly able to use my lower and true voice.  Through my school choir I was able to do a lot of a capella works, which sparked my love for a capella even more.  The money you donate will be used to help fund my time at A Capella Academy.  There I will be able to learn from great teachers about their craft and will then be able create my own unique style while growing in knowledge and wisdom along the way.  A Capella Academy will be collecting their funds on or before the fourteenth of March.  Being able to attend A Capella Acadmey will mean so much to me and this is truly a once in a lifetime opportunity.  I can not express enough how greatful I am for all of your contributions.
