Sanay'ah King - Gone Too Soon!

Our world came crashing to a halt and was turned upside down in a short time. Two months ago our 16 year old daughter Sanay'ah started having chest pains and couldn't breath. We immediately took her to the hospital and they admitted her into ICU. Her chest pain was actually heart failure. She was transported to UCLA for an immediate heart transplant, but was found to not be an ideal candidate, due to how progressed her condition had already gotten. We were told there was nothing more they could do medically, so we did our best to keep her comfortable and happy during the time she had left, which felt like the blink of an eye. One moment she was here and the next she was gone. We lost our angel in a matter of months.
As parents we watched our daughter and tended to her night and day. We used every sick day and all of our savings to stay by her side as long as we could, because our time was limited. This has been our worst nightmare come true. It hurt our souls to have her going through something that we couldn't take away or ease. We're devastated in our hearts and soul by the loss of our daughter .... Now to realize the total truth of being devastated financially as well from this whole unimaginable experieice!
We must admit that we were unprepared! We were caught off gaurd. We thought we had forever with our baby. We thought our biggest expense and worry would be planning for her senior year, her college expenses, perhaps even her wedding, but NEVER this!
We must put our pride aside and accept that we need help picking up the pieces. Just when life delivers it's toughest blow the blows are continuing to come. As a result, we need the help of our family, friends, and loved ones. We have homegoing expenses to cover and life expenses to catch up on, becasue God Help Us... we were unprepared!
