Please help my family

In May of 2012 I graduated with honors from Red Rocks Community College with a 3.9 gpa and went to work as a utility locator. This is the work that I over- achieved at to get us our home.

Just a year ago, right before the Colorado floods, I managed to buy, with my own credit rating and savings, a modest ranch style home (in some disrepair) for myself and my four children. At this time I was taking supplementary math courses in college while working around 55 hours a week. I closed on this home in August of 2013.

When the floods hit Colorado in September, while my home was spared, my work required extra effort and hours to handle the many natural gas emergencies resulting from other's misfortunes. Often, I was at work for more than 18 hours straight.

Due to this, I had to withdraw from college. I also found myself in a legal battle with my children's father. I hired a law firm that help me present myself in court and defend some of the wild allegations. And they did a great job helping me to defend myself. So far I have incurred a bill of over $20,000 dollars in legal fees alone.

My college bills have also become due and in an effort to keep my family financially ok, I had to allow the attorney to put a lein on our new home.

In addition, some of the repairs on the house have become emergencies and every check I am trying to fix something, like a blown toilet, and just don't have the knowledge to do it myself. I simply cant scrape anything to hire someone.

We are very very vulnerable right now to not being able to keep this house. I am asking support for a mother who has chosen to overachieve and avoid homelessness. My children need the stability I have provided for them.

A little about the kids :
My 15yr old says she can't wait to go to college, which is a miracle as I was a foster child and least likely to succeed. I am so happy that my success in college has made her assume she belongs there as well.
My 11 year old boy is a very high functioning autistic who is currently not getting special education and is succeeding. He is in swimming, learning to play an alto saxaphone and plans on becoming an Eagle with the local EAA Flying Club. I am seeking a job that will shorten my hours so I can do this for him. He's certainly smart enough to be a pilot someday.
My 9 yr old completed 2nd grade when she was only 5 yrs old. She is currently only in the 4th grade and is being tested for the gifted and talented program. I held her back in 3rd grade as I felt she was not thriving surrounded by older children. we now have the resources with this new school to challenge her. She is an adorably dramatic diva.
We call my 3yr old "peanut butter". He is a delight to our family and we are blessed because of the noise he makes.

I am a single mom, but handling it and the kids deserve the very best from me. Please consider my family as a worthy cause. We have come very far.

About me : Life was not easy for me growing up. I did not attend junior high and high school, but have overcome early difficultie and contributed to the community over the years. I earned two Associates degrees simultaneously while maintaining a 3.9 gpa. I was nominated for graduate of the year and was a VIP attendee at the Grainger 2012 Trade Show. I am in a video participating with the CEO of Grainger for a Skilled Labor Roundtable Discussion.

Thank you for your consideration.
