Jim Choate Recovery and Family Fund

Donation protected
My father, Jim Choate, suffered a heart attack on Monday, February 20, 2017. He then suffered a stroke on Friday the 24th while recovering.

He has difficulty moving his right arm and leg, and may have lost vision in his right eye. He has a hard time articulating, and has stated that it's very difficult to think and keep his thoughts in order. Despite this, he actively acknowledges questions and statements, even if he can't manage to respond clearly. And he has not lost the capacity to sass those around him, much to the relief of the family.

Never one to let a setback stop him, Jim is more concerned with the financial situation his family is now in, than the surgeries he's getting to recover from his heart attack and stroke. Jim was the sole moneymaker for him, his wife, and his youngest son, and the only licensed capable driver.

In order to help the family stay on their feet, and to provide the medication he needs to keep his diabetes in check, please help this man who has given the majority of his time helping others, and providing for family and friends when they could not do so themselves.
