Hey there,
Thanks for your interest in helping us out. As I type this our band van is in the shop in Ogden, Utah with repairs way beyond our means. It seems we are going to have to junk the van. Which is very unfortunate considering we still owe $3,000 on it. We are currently on tour and need a vehicle ASAP, so I thought I'd turn to you, and ask for your help.
I have been on the road traveling and playing music with my best friends for many years now. In so many ways I am blessed beyond my wildest dreams. Playing music is what I hope I can do for the rest of my life. The music Business, while personally satistying is financially a very tough one. Especially when you consider the cost of touring, paying the band, paying our agent, taking care of our families, and just the cost of living in general it's a struggle.
It's a struggle, but one that is well worth it; To be able to lift peoples spirits through music and to sing and dance with people on a nightly basis is a pure joy. No matter how hard the work may be as soon as I see people smile, or dance, or sing, or clap I feel connected to folks I hardly even know and I feel ALIVE. It's a beautiful thing, indeed!
The money you pledge to us will go towards paying back our debts on the old van and finding a new and much more reliable vehicle.
I know there are a lot of hardworking people out there struggling just as much as we are, if not even more. So I thank you for your help, and I hope through your kindness we can stay on the road spreading our joy of music to the world.
Thank you,
Kris Lager
