John Wicks Medical Fund
Our dear Wild Honey friend John Wicks, brilliant musician and songwriter, needs our help. He's suffering from a rare form of pancreatic cancer (stage 4) that has spread to his liver. After a 6 week stay, he was finally released from the hospital after enduring two harsh rounds of chemo. Always a fighter with a gentle heart, John faces even more chemo in the coming weeks as an outpatient. Unable to play music and earn a living, John has a tough, expensive battle ahead. We want to help.
Here's bits from his bio: he's the co-founder of the legendary British pop band the Records that released three albums on Virgin that spawned the classic hit single “Starry Eyes.” Before his illness, John wrote, recorded, and performed around the world as a solo artist, as well as with a new Records lineup, and also alongside Bangles' drummer Debbi Peterson in their duo Broken Sky.
Equally important, John's a mensch and humanitarian always willing to donate his considerable talents at the drop of a hat and help recruit his friends-Al Stewart, Denny Laine, and others to participate as well. His generous musicial donations to our Wild Honey Foundation Autism Fundraising concerts over the past three years (see the video) have enormously helped kids in need. In short, it's payback time for the Wild Honey Foundation and all of John's friends who he has helped over the years. Claim a perk, donate a perk, or just give what you can to a generous, talented man in his time of need.
