Josh Sharpe needs our help

Y'all:
Our pal, colleague and loved one Josh Sharpe was in a car accident on Feb. 2. He'll tell you that he "broke both of his legs" when he swerved to avoid someone merging into his lane and hit an oncoming truck head-on — but it's a tad more serious than that.
On his left side, Josh dislocated his hip and broke both his tibia and his fibula (calf and shin bones). On his right side, Josh broke his femur (thigh bone) and shattered his patella (knee).
He is, to paraphrase one of his nurses, "broken from the waist down."
Josh has already had multiple surgeries. He's going to be in the hospital for a little while. He's going to need rehab. He needs help now, and he's going to need help for a while.
Even Josh — who can be a little hard-headed and a lot reluctant to cause a fuss — has realized the latter. And even he has realized that it's OK to ask for that help. That's a big deal.
And that's where y'all come in.
Chip in a dollar, or twenty, or 100. Already done it? Do it again! Share this page! Tell a friend! Tell a stranger!
Everything will go to Josh. Who is a pretty damn good cause. And who is sure as hell gonna need it.
(A note: The big ol' number up there includes the $1,165 y'all contributed during our initial makeshift fundraiser before this page got set up. It does not include the $325 in Visa cards Josh already has in hand (cards that were paid for by other contributions made during that initial, pre-GoFundMe period))
(Another note: This ain't gonna be one of those post-every-three-hours kind of pages. But I will do my best to post Josh-approved updates if there are major developments or major milestones met, or if needs change.)
(A third note: Questions? Holler at me. GoFundMe won't let me put my phone number here because it thinks I'll get scammed, but I'm a milllenial and a journalist. So I'm never not checking email.)
