Born and raised in Pembroke, he was a graduate of Silver Lake Regional High School class of 2004. Josh was an avid Boston sports fan and a lifelong player and coach on many local hockey and softball teams. His passion and dedication to local kids and promotion of sports will forever be remembered. He built a successful contracting business, Smey Painting and Remodeling, and served on The Pembroke Housing Authority.

Josh was always there with a beaming smile on his face and a helping hand for anyone who needed it. He will be greatly missed by all.

Funeral services will be held at Sullivan on Saturday September 8th at 10 am, with burial procession to follow at Pembroke Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family would welcome donations to the Josh Smey Memorial Fund to benefit local youth.
