Josie's Acts of Joy

Josephine "Josie" Avery Economy, 13, passed away March 24, 2024 after living with cancer for five years. A true creative, she had a lifelong passion for exploring new ideas and new media. She was a gifted artist and performer and loved to share her talent with the communities she built around herself. Josie touched many lives through her kindness and joy.

In lieu of flowers, Josie's family would like to honor her life and her wish to support other children and teens as they pursue success, especially in the visual and performing arts. Your donations will be made in Josie's name to create acts of joy in her community.

Unfortunately, Josie's disease progressed faster than anticipated, so her family is still working on details. This account is being setup by family on their behalf. We will ensure that funds are administered in a legal and ethical manner and will provide updates when we have more information.
