Anchor Employee Emergency Fund

Unless you've been living under a rock since around 6 p.m. Sunday night, January 4, you know that our beloved Anchor Restuarant has closed it's doors. While we make threads about gentrification and Yales abuse of local culture, I think a lot of us haven't taken a minute to realize that 6 people are out of jobs on a moments notice. When you are in the service industry you always count on another dollar on another day. But there is no other day. So now what? These people have apartments and bills to pay. If we hit out goal, they will get $1,200 a piece. Enough to cover rent, bills, food, and of course, entertainment. So if you can even let go of a $5 for these severs that would be great. They'll need it, it is the service industry off season, and finding work will be tough. Thank you.
