Hello, my name is Rachel O'Donnell, and my partner Craig Surgent and I are interested keeping our small business, RPM Records Plus More / Vintage & Collectibles, alive. The type of business we have, is a record store with vintage and Collectible items. We have merchandise for people of all ages. We are interested in promoting music, art and popular culture.
I am a graduate of Moore College of Art and Design and have always wanted to own my own business. I worked as an art educator in the School District of Philadelphia for 6 years, and am an advocate of keeping the arts alive here in Philadelphia.
My partner and I now have a fabulous business located at 205 West Girard Avenue, where people can come and purchase vinyl records, CD's, DVD's, thrift and vintage items such as small household goods, toys, plus many other really interesting collectible items at reasonable prices.
We have been collecting vinyl records all our lives and we both love music. Our love of music and the arts has inspired us to follow our goal of owning our own record store.
Craig is a fantastic musician and I have had six years past experience in learning the ins and outs of operating a record store with my friend Jack Fritz of Noise Pollution Records, here in Philadelphia. We formerly sold at flea markets and record shows in the region and I have also sold on eBay for seven years and have a score of 834 100% positive feedbacks. All of our customers love our store and many return to make purchases a second time.
Although we make sales and continue this venture, business is slow. Opening during November 2014, the cold and rainy weather has been a deterrent for ample customers. We would greatly benefit from supporters who believe in the success of our business. We are sincere about our desire to succeed, but our bills are eating up our profit. We are seeking out any means to survive through the winter. Any contribution is greatly appreciated .
