Educating America using fire art
Donation protected
My name is Duron Lewis, I'm presently living in Enid, Oklahoma. I first began sketching at the age of 10 years old. Born to the notable parents of Moses I. Lewis Sr. and Evelyn Lewis in Winstonville, Mississippi. Over the years I developed a muti-medium talent in art. It is an extention of my soul.
I am attempting to educate people across the United States through the visual conception of my very rare and extemely different type of medium which is soot. This medium was first discovered by archeologist in 1937 and was dated back some 2 million years ago (Paeliolithic) age inside caves. I've successfully brought it out of the caves onto canvas. So I paint with fire. But that's not all, I recognize those who serve this great country and those who served long before me. I need help purchasing the art supplies and to donate these fascinating paintings to the prospective recipients. these paintings consist of the history of a particular city in each state. Such as the City of Chicago first fire marshal James Horan who died in the line of duty on Dec. 22, 1910. I'm donating a fire painting of him to the CFD on April 15, 2016. This is only a portion of education to those who live there.
The funds will be used to purchase materials and frames, transportation to deliver the painting, and to do workshops to teach others about this prehistoric but new form of transcended art.
Funds are needed now. April is right around the corner.
This mean so much to me to embrace a culture of aestetics and to amaze the emotions of others. One of my biggest rewards is to see the joy and smile of the viewer.
I do appreciate very much your help and support in my effort to reach America with something very special that has been among us long long ago.
Thank you,
DKLewis
