Julia Geiser's Medical fund

In March 2017, James Geiser was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer & passed away on April 8. Newly widowed his wife Julia continued to prepare to move into a different house (the farmhouse they lived in had black mold). On May 30, she lost her balance while cleaning and fell down a newly constructed opening to the basement. She landed 10 feet below on her head, on concrete. Doctors did an emergency surgery to stop bleeding on her brain & to repair her skull. She suffered traumatic brain injuries and was in the hospital for 38 days. Doctors told the family that she is in a permanent vegative state and would never improve. Her children made the decision to move her home & care for her. Soon after being at home her condition began to improve & she continues making small improvements, but needs constant care and extensive therapy. Currently she is able to walk some with assistance, feed herself & has started using the restroom. She does communicate some but it can be very difficult. Every improvement is a complete miracle. Please pray that she would continue to improve & respond to therapy. Her insurance does not cover out-of-hospital expenses or therapy. Her 7 children care for her along with hired caretakers.
