Shannan Maria Gilbert was murdered. Her body was found in a marsh by Oak Beach, Long Island in 2011. She was an escort. She was a human being, a victim of a killer. She is entitled to justice.
Shannan took care of her mother and sister while she was alive. She loved the arts, loved to sing, and had the voice of an angel. She adored her two nephews and animals, too.
We are Shannan Gilbert's family's attorneys. We are pursuing an exhaustive civil case and investigation for Shannan and her family. This Defense Fund has been set up to defray the enormous costs associated with this litigation. Dr. Michael Baden has graciously agreed to perform a second autopsy. Shannan's mother wishes to bury Shannan after Dr. Baden's imminent independent autopsy. She cannot afford to pay for a burial place for Shannan. Donations of services and assistance for the funeral have been graciously offered at a reduced cost. We estimate the remaining expenses to be at least $5,000. Can you please help?
