Gift parcels to make you smile

Hello my name is kayleigh i am 21 years old; i had a normal healthyish childhood just the odd occansion of needing to go to hospital and being really clumsy breaking my bones at least twice a year from seven to fifthteen years, then at 16 my world changed forever. I had gone to sixth form and as i walking home collasped and was unable to get back up at that point i was taken to hospital where i saw a doctor straight away for once who asked me " Kayleigh when did you last pee?" i had to stop and think (never a good sign) " four days ago" i replied, within two minutes the nurses came in and put a catheter into me and within two hours i was at guys hospital on a urology ward. A few days later after loads of painful tests and lots of catheters the doctors told me that my bladder wouldnt work without a catheter and there was no way of fixing it so i told myself "itll be ok its only a tube" that evening a few doctors and two nurses came round my bed and the doctors said " Kayleigh no matter what happens we will be with you all the way" i knew something was going on, and the next morning i got taken to st Thomas hospital where they told me i had a brain injury from birth and it was effecting me now as i had stopped growing and gone through puberty, from then on after weeks in hospital and hundreds of needles, scans, tests, and medication i was allowed home finally just a totally different person, i slowly got worse and more and more problems arose. Now five years on i still have a catheter, i am incontinent, my hips are wearing from the inside outwards, osteoprosis, hypermobility, perinatal brain injury, gastroprosis which has meant i need a feeding tube, seizures, all of which has resulted in needing a wheelchair.
I spent a long time in hospital as you can imagine; it can be very lonely, sad, and depressing. one day a family friend sent me a bouquet of cupcakes and a not, it had such a positive effect on me that it inspired me and i decided i wanted to do something for others. I make gift parcels for people in hospitals, hospices, and the community each gift parcel contains five items each depending on the age and gender of the recipient. Each gift parcel contains anything and everything from arts and crafts, colouring, toys, pamper products and so so much more. My reasons for doing these gift parcels is mainly to make the recipient feel special, also to make them smile, give them a boost, distract them from their treatments and pain, and give their family members memories of them happy and smiling to look back on in the hard times, those moments are priceless and I am privileged to have been able to aid such precious memories for them all.

I am honoured to be able to make up and fund these gift parcels myself, but i would be internally grateful if you were able to donate absolutely anything. All money raised will go to make up more gift parcels and getting them out to more people and at a quicker rate. Thank you so much!!

If you know of anyone that could do with receiving a gift parcel weather they are unwell or they just need cheering up then please do contact me.

THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART, THIS MEANS EVERYTHING TO ME!!!
