Kiara's 2nd Year Film: Safe Harbour

My name is Kiara Palmer, I'm a twenty-year-old Nova Scotian majoring in Film Production at the Mel Hoppenheim School of Cinema at Concordia University.
During my second year of school at Concordia, I've found myself fortunate enough to be in the position of directing and producing a film that I, myself, wrote. (This is something that not all second year students in my program get the chance to do.) I have a cast and crew of 17 behind me, all working together to bring my story to life.
Safe Harbour is a narrative short film as seen through the eyes of a child during the fifth year of her life. A portrayal of the ideal family unit is revealed through milestones; a birthday, an anniversary. The life we live, however, happens between those milestones. Those modest moments are clues that teach us about what makes this family in particular, so unique. Sometimes, an attractive cloak of perfection might actually be intended to hide something much darker.
Sienna Mazzone plays the lead role of Lucy in the film. She has worked in both film and television. More recently, she voiced several characters in Assasin's Creed (2012) and Assasin's Creed Unity (2014). (awesome)
Matt Keyes plays the role of Oliver in the film. He is known for Lamb (2013), In sickness (2014) and Willed to Kill (2012). He also starred on Corner Gas (also awesome) during 2008-2009.
Leigh Ann Taylor plays the role of Elizabeth. She is known for I'm Not There (2007), Who Lives There? (2014), and the tv series, Being Human (2014). (awesome, I know)
