Camera couple needs "Kolektiv" help

My name is Denise Figueroa, and I just graduated from a four year university with a Bachelor's in Radio-TV-Film. Che Chang, my soon to be business partner (and owner of my heart) is an avid photographer, working at Trader Joe's, who has been patiently waiting with me for the day I graduate college so we can start making our dreams a reality. At 23 years old, we are making a courageous decision to start our own Photography/Videography business for special events. Whether it be for personal moments like weddings, family celebrations, and/or portraits, or for business' needs of coverage for fundraisers, festivals, or public shows, we want to provide the SoCal community with our creative services.
We know this is not an easy task, practically and financially. We are a young couple barely entering the world. But after spending 5 years of my life eagerly studying to earn the college degree of my dreams, and Che strongly pursuing his passion for Photography, we are bravely taking this leap of faith because we also know what we want. So here I am, proudly out of school, and for the past two months, Che & I have been working non-stop on a business plan, marketing plan, and budget that will help jumpstart our business, Kolektiv Imagery (pronounced 'collective') in the right direction.
So far, this plan has been a success! We have booked our first wedding as a team in September and just finished their engagement photos. We could not feel more blessed. Now, however, we are left with the difficult task to find a way to raise funds for us to purchase the rest of our video/photography equipment needs for this and future events. We had no idea where to start, until now. Thankfully, with the reference from a family member, we have come across this amazing website that people use to help others, like us, make goals possible.
So we ask you: Please be part of our journey and help us get the tools needed to start the beginning of our dream career! This college grad and photographer need your "Kolektiv" help to start doing what we love for a living, and not waste time wondering, "what if?" We can't do it without you!
Any donation will help! We hope to reach our goal by our first wedding event in September. We've got quite a large goal for the reason that camera equipment is pricey, with professional lenses up to $1,000. We need funds for marketing and business expense needs, so first donations will be primarily invested in that.
UPDATE: Our goal has been significantly lowered in HOPES we can reach at least enough for start up necessities. Here's what it will consist of: a business license ($50), fictitious name statement ($50), business cards ($50), and towards a website ($75). Equipment needed at the moment are a DSLR shoulder rig ($250), a follow focus & matte box ($90), camera cage ($75), storage box ($60), studio lighting set ($200), and backdrops ($100). If we make this goal, we will have the perfect start up for our business! WE'RE A QUARTER OF THE WAY THERE! Help us get there! Anyone who donates will be sent a personal thank you and returned the favor when our services are needed.
