Guatemala Mission Trip 2015

Dear Family & Friends,
This spring break (in just a few short weeks), Graham and Drew have the opportunity to go to Guatemala on their first ever mission trip. Most of you know that we belong to and have attended Collierville First Baptist Church for a few years now, and this is a trip that the youth have taken for many years. They will be staying at an orphanage in Guatemala City called Casa Aleluya, and will be spending their time loving on the children that stay there and doing work that the missionaries need them to do.
They will be preparing their own food each day, and any transportation they need is provided by the orphanage. They get one day off and will travel into Antigua for the day to shop, sightsee and dine at an authentic restaurant. (Drew is pretty excited about the food part.)
Graham and Drew have done mission work around our town and our city over the past two or three years, and this is something they've both been called by God to do. They have prayed about this, they have read God's word about asking for knowledge and wisdom, and when some spots opened up, we took the leap of faith and gave our church a deposit to reserve their spot.
This is where YOU come in. First and foremost, both Graham and Drew ask for your prayers. They have never flown before, and the group going is pretty large in size, so if you could pray for safe travels and good health while they're there, I know they would appreciate it. I also ask that you would pray for them to be totally surrendered to the Lord~that they would allow Him to use them in a mighty way, and for them to be able to spread the Good News, that is the gospel of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We have been praying Romans 10:14 and 15~How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: "How
beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!"
I pray that the Lord makes their feet beautiful. I pray that these precious children will experience the love of Jesus through them...not just my two going, but through all of them going.
The last thing I am asking for is for you to prayerfully consider sponsoring them on this trip. Many of you are far away, but to those of you who are local to us, they would love to do some work for the money. They can do all kinds of yardwork, they babysit, pet sit, whatever you can think of, they are capable of doing!
