SAMMY'S ANGELS
5 month old Sammy is a happy go lucky lovable kitten who needs our help. Sammy went into sudden respiratory failure 5 days before he was due to go to his new furever home and was brought to Tufts Vets in Walpole. Respiratory distress & a new onset level 3/4 heart murmur was quickly noticed by staff and Sammy was admitted to the ICU in a special oxygenated cage, hooked up to an IV and given meds immediately. The doctor told Taylor and I that Sammy was in need of extensive testing as the clinical presentations appeared to be CHF but could also be non-cardiogenic. These expensive exams include cardiology, pulmonary and neurological testing which will cost in the thousands!
Sammy is a "special" boy and loves every thing and every one. From day 1, he has been our little fighter! Sammy was 1 of 7 however 4 of his siblings died within 24 hours after birth. At 4 weeks old he stopped growing. He has slowly made headway in his short 5 mos but the cause still hasn't been determined. He has a slightly misshapen head and watches his paws as he walks...almost as if to make sure he's walking correctly.(which is completely adorable!) This is a kitten who even though he's wobbly on his feet, loves life and all it has to offer.
Being a small 501c3 non-profit rescue, we don't have all the funding to get Sammy tested and still care for the 30+ kittens and cats Angelcat has within our rescue so Taylor said "I'm going to ask everyone to help me pay for Sammy" and so began Sammy's Angels.
We are a registered non-profit and donated funds are tax deductible. ANY amount given to Sammy's Angels is greatly appreciated and will get this special boy the treatment he absolutely needs
