Operation Oscy- Vital spine surgery

Donation protected
Hey Guys... well some say bad luck comes in 3s...
Our journey thus far, consisiting of Oscy going missing for almost 6months! Only a couple of weeks after we adopted him...  We never gave up on him, Oscy featured in the papers, the news, on the radio and flyers/posters were placed in street after street, day after day. Eventually, i recieved that call i had been waiting for! The pound said he was found 30km away by a father and daughter who were walking their dog. Oscs collar was the same, although our tags had been snapped off, he also had a short lead attached.. that wasn't ours! (thank goodness Oscy had a Microchip)... Happy days :)

THEN... Oscy was going downhill... for unknown reasons to both ourselves and vets far too frequently... repeat visits to vet after vet... almost a week in veterinary care...thousands later + an emergency surgery, Osc had a stick removed that was found internally... fewf! (there goes the savings$) Ok we're all good again :)

NOW...since moving to the coast we've realised the arch in Oscs back increase / mobility decrease. Especially on our large steps... we knew something wasn't right! After a vet referral to the specialist... Osc had an MRI... yep... there's a PROBLEM... some of the disks in Oscs spine... bulging... which compress the spinal cord..... this can lead to severe issues/ lack of movement in the back legs... I don't want to discuss the negatives this soon... Although what we do know is surgery will prevent Osc deteriorating in his back end.. and this is the desired outcome of course! Surgery costs once again are excessive.... Obviously another PROBLEM..... $$$$$.
Although what i do know is Osc is my bubba boy... he helped mend a piece of my heart after I lost Molly after 13 yrs of friendship (my 1st staffy)... he stuck right by my side whilst Guy (partner) worked away.... and well i could go on and on... He's worth everything with the happiness he creates in our home. The next few days will be long discussions and finalising what we do, how we do that and when.

We're not the kind of people who ask for help... although since moving into a new home with a mortage, rates due, rego due, my partners trying to outlay costs to set up a business (currently on hold) it's not easy. Oscy has a fb page called oscarwantstocomehome and i wold like to thank those who pushed us to do this, thank you.
Surgery #1 (operation stick) was over $11,000
Recent vet visits, roughly $400
MRI last week over $2,000
Future Surgery (operation spine) Roughly $7,500

ALL i can say is THANK YOU in advance for anyone who shares, or donates in any way.. large or small. THIS HELP WILL BE 1 of the best things that could happen to us!
