Rebekah and Sawyer are a young couple with a 3-year-old daughter named Leyah. In November Rebekah found out she was pregnant with their second child.
At the time they were living a trailer and now, needing more room, they decided to purchase a bigger home to accommodate the new addition to the family.
So they sold the trailer and moved in with Sawyers family until they found a home. The move required them to move 90% of their belongings into a storage unit for safe keeping.
Finally, after 4 months and 8 offers they purchased their new home!!
WhooHoo!! Time to move in!
Upon opening their storage unit, they found that the unit had been overrun by RATS!!
As you can see from the photos, most everything in the unit has been damaged or soiled beyond keeping.
Household items, furniture, summer clothing all destroyed by rats chewing on and through, deficating and urinating.
Although they cannot replace the sentimental items like photos and artwork, your generous donation will help to replace those items lost including items needed for the new addition to the family due in July 2017.
Below are a few of the items that were destroyed or soiled.
This mattress is for the crib. no longer useable.
Note the amount of rat droppings. This was an infestation!!
Many items have this kind of staining and dirt.
A great baby toy, no longer useable... too much filth.
Although this can be cleaned, it memory may be too much to bear.
Your support is needed ASAP to allow this family to move into their new home with the bare necessities. Only 3 items of furniture have been salvaged but will require refinishing as there are chew marks and staining.
As you can image, the excitement of owning a new home was squashed upon finding all of their precious possessions destroyed by RATS!
Even though, Sawyer and Rebekah know that earthly possession are not eternal, trying to raise two children without the bare necessities that they had built up, would be difficult. They believe that God will restore what the devil has stolen.
They will be grateful that God has used YOU to help them in this time of need.
