LAPD Northeast BLEND Toy Drive

The Northeast Division of the LAPD represents one of the most populated and diverse areas in the city of Los Angeles.  In just 33 square miles, we work with communities of Highland Park, Cypress Park, Glassell Park, Mount Washington, Eagle Rock Elysian Valley, Solano Canyon, Atwater Village, Los Feliz East Hollywood and Silver Lake.

Our Community has over 55,000 children under 12 years old with a notable percentage living in poverty and with other socio-economic issues.  It is for this reason we started an annual Holiday Toy give away 28 years ago-so that as many children as possible in our community could experience some of the joy of the season.

In 2017, we gave away 600 toys.  Our goal for 2018 is to give away 1,000 toys to children ages 3 to 12 years old at a holiday party that includes refreshments, holiday games, music and of course the opportunity to interact with LA CIty FIrst Responders.

We target raising $20,000 in donations to meet our 1,000 toy giveaway goal.
