Chris LaPorta Is a Paramedic Firefighter for Greenville, North Carolina and his wife Rebecca Laporta is a Paramedic in Pitt County. Rebecca wrote this statement below
“Almost a year ago Chris, myself and our daughter Caileigh decided to go into an agreement with a contractor to Lease to Own. It has now been brought to our attention that the home is not to code, no permits were pulled, the home was flooded (not disclosed), there is no VIN matching what is on our home in NC DMV records and possibly no title, we have a severe mold issues in the entire home and sub floor, and we just got the call that Pitt County is moving forward with condemning our home. We exhausted our savings account in excess of $18,000.00 into our home that is about to be condemned because of this contractor not doing right by us. In the next week we will have to come up with a place to live and the funds to secure a home that fits our family of 3 and 2 large dogs. Our whole world is upside down right now and we don't even know what to do. We come to the public for assistance. I will be posting updates of all the paperwork, reports, bills, and more soon but wanted to reach out like so many suggested. Please pray for us while all this unfolds, to keep our family safe and lastly for the contractor that has done us wrong. He needs some guidance in his life. Much love from us all!”
They put their lives on the line every day they leave their house and go to work and now they need our help. Let’s repay the favor by showing this family our love and support. Any amount you can spare will help them out.
“I have spoken with Rebecca LaPorta and she has approved this account. She also said she has the paperwork to back her story in case anyone doubts this story”
