Laura Bo moves to LA!

So I am taking the plunge and moving to LA. I have no nest egg, but I will get to that in a bit. It is time for me to leave the nest of Brooklyn and start a new chapter in my life. I am extremely excited and really fucking scared. The target date is January.
If you know of any temp work in NYC between now and January please let me know, I need to save every penny and work as much as possible. I decided to start this gofundme campaign to ask for assistnace in building a nest egg. I am hoping that every person I have helped out or hooked up over the past five years can find it in their hearts and wallets to donate. Even $5 is a gallon of gas! So this holiday season if you were thinking of what weird knick knack to get me, please just donate what you would have spent on this campaign.
I will be posting up some services I am down to do to make that extra cash, social media, dog walking, room cleaning, paperwork, filing, whatever. In the meantime check out the breakdown of the budget/estimate I have started for this journey.
According to Google Maps the trip is 43 Hours and 2988 miles. Obviously it would be less miles if I went up through Chicago, but I am not driving in the north in January. Plus according to gasbuddy its cheaper down south.
Below is my estimated BASIC costs:
MID SIZE SUV RENTAL = $1335 (one way, unlimited miles, insurance included)
UHAUL 5′x8′ CARGO = $737 (one way, up to $10K insurance covered)
GASBUDDY ESTIMATE = $250 (gasbuddy estimated $178, i rounded up. The trip goes from brooklyn - dallas - los angeles)
Total Driving Estimate = $2322 and we will round up to $2500 to cover me being hungry + random sus hotels I may have to stay in.
My gofundme campaign is asking for $5000, why?
I have read a million articles at this point and everyone comes to the same conclusion: your budget is always doubled.
I have had a lot of people say just leave everything behind and start new.Now why wouldn’t I just throw all my stuff out and then buy new shit when I get there? That’s dumb. The stuff i would be bringing (my bed, my clock, my couch-comes apart) would need to be shipped in a pod and those cost anywhere between 1700-3000 and then I would have to fly there. Regardless of how I arrive and with what stuff I will still have to unpack the pod/car.
I have 2 cats and 1 dog. I have thought long about leaving the cats with Olivia(their other mom) or someone else, but NO. I didn’t adopt them to give them away. They are coming with me, and we are driving. Still looking for a PIC for the trip. I know money is tight but maybe you having something you don't need anymore. Maybe you have a random job for me, maybe you have some advice for my trip, maybe you have a job lead, maybe you need a roommate in LA, maybe you were thinking about moving and now you're like YES. I will also be posting a list of random things I think I need for on the way there (think car seat covers + cat harnesses, pet carriers, water,etc). That’s coming soon.
I appreciate any job leads for LA and any temp gigs for NYC. Words cannot explain how I am feeling because it’s some crazy type of panic, scared, excited. I have never really asked for anything from anyone, I don’t expect anything from anyone. I may get $0 and then have to rethink my moving plan. Please note I am not asking for money so I can sit on my butt for the next 8 weeks. I am asking for some assistance with a “nest egg”. Also if anyone needs any random odd jobs done, I am good at a lot of random things :)
