Over 66,000 Veterans in Wichita KS have PTSD.
Almost half have applied for a Service Dog.
Service Dog's are known to lower stress, anxiety and medications. Statistics show every 63 minutes a Soldier suffering from PTSD commits suicide. There are no known suicides of any Veteran that own a Service Dog.
After meeting with many Veterans in my area I have learned they have been put on a two year waiting list and are being sent out of state to receive a Service Dog and handler training.
My name is Toney Turner and I own Complete K9, dog training for all aspects public and commercial. I have been training dogs for 20 years and opened Complete K9 in 2009. Recently myself and a close friend, Chip Neumann co-founded Midwest Battle Buddies Inc. after learning these stories of our Veterans.
Midwest Battle Buddies Inc. is a non-profit organization that was created to help out Veterans in the Midwest to receive quality, certified dogs with very little to no out of pocket expense.
