Caring For Young Minds HBCU Tour

We are volunteers with the Caring For Young Minds (CFYM) Foundation in Baltimore, Maryland. CFYM is a nonprofit youth mentoring organization. Our mission is to take the dreams of African-American students who want to attend college and make them a reality. The organization offers several programs to help students achieve their dreams. One of our most effective programs is a Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) Tour conducted during Spring Break.
HBCUs are the conerstones to the success of many of our African- American professionals and leaders. It is the job of the next generation to perserve the rich traditions of these institutions. There's a great number of our students who are unware of our HBCUs and our goal is to expose them to the legacy.
Here in the Baltimore area, we have many bright students whose dreams of attending college is a far reach. Our desire is to take our students on a tour of the schools with hope that it will spark an interest to attend one of our great inistitutions and continue that rich history.
The Caring for Young Minds HBCU Tour is April 8-15, 2017 and leaves from Baltimore, Maryalnd. The Tour will visit the following school: North Carolina Central University, North Carolina A&T University, Johnson C Smith University, Allen University, South Carolina State University, Claflin University, Fort Valley State University, Albany State University, Bethune Cookman University, Edward Waters College and Florida A&M.
