A new leg that will change my life

In September 2013 I was involved in a huge motorbike accident which very nearly took my life. Although I was lucky enough to have my life (believe me I'm very grateful!) I was left with numerous broken bones and with my left leg amputated above the knee (ouch!). 2 years on I'm healthy and as active as I can be given the limitations of my NHS prosthetic (which limits my day to day life greatly). The Genium X3 by Ottobock will greatly improve my life from the smallest of activities to the largest.
Since losing my leg I very quickly became aware of the challenges an amputee faces in day to day life, from climbing the stairs to going for a walk and everything in between. After finding out about the Genium X3 I quickly realised that most of my problems could be made a vast amount easier or even non-existant . Last summer I went travelling through Europe (wild camping) for 4 months, although I managed (struggled!) on crutches, the Genium would have enabled me to do a lot of things I couldn't.

If I manage to get this leg it will change my life more than most people could ever imagine. I'll be able to walk up and down stairs step over step instead of hopping, allowed to run and tackle terrains I'd completely written off after my accident. You can change my life.
