From a Scooter to a Car

This little guy here is Clark! And Clark has been the most convenient companion throughout my years in college. .
Unfortunately, two days ago on July 22nd, 2015, Clark's life suddenly ended in a very unexpected death. Every attempt has been made to fix him but since I'm finally about to graduate, there's almost no point... I can't take him with me when I move in 2 weeks. He's held his own the past 4 years but as you can see from his missing cosmetic parts, replaced mirrors & Superman duct tape (holding a break light in place) - Clark's great life pretty much ran its course.
So I'm back to no source of a personal, convenient and/or comfortable mode of transportation. And I'm from the South. It's HOT here. I really wouldn't mind walking everywhere but 102+ degrees is just unbearable for anyone.
When I was in high school, my first car was wrecked in a really bad accident. It wasn't my fault but it scared me so much, I haven't owned another one since. I was able to get a scooter because my campus was really small & it made getting everywhere so easy, other cars were never really a problem. I'm moving to a much bigger city where using a scooter would be virtually impossible and counterintuitive.
I've always just dealt with being at the convenience of the driver I'm riding with. I'm 22 years old, graduating college and starting my life. I've started saving on my own but I think it's about time I get back on the road in a car that I can finally call my own. If I save $5000 and also raise the same amount, then I'll have $10000 which is just perfect enough to buy a decent car in good condition. Donations from $1 or more are sooo appreciated, it really helps towards my goal. Thank you everyone for taking the time to read this! I can't tell you how much I appreciate your support.
Love,
Leila
