SAFE PLACE FOR A LESBIAN - INDONESIA

I am Sheilla, a lesbian from Indonesia who is currently living in Netherlands. For few years I have been in Europe learning Dutch & German language, appreciating European cultures, serving with my abilities and knowledge, and be a good person for the society. But sadly it must come to an end because I am struggling with getting documents to legally live in the Netherlands.

If I don't solve this problem quicky, I would need to get back to my homophobic country Indonesia. I feel depressed and trapped by the situation. I am afraid to go back to Indonesia because of my trauma by my own experiences in facing discrimination, violence, humiliation, as a lesbian in my country. I have no family and friends to go back to.

People I thought my friends, drugged me and put me to sleep once I was in Indonesia to steal my personal document in order to keep me there so I could be sent to therapy to cure. My sister hit me and threathen me to death.

Currently, the situation in my country is really bad for LGBTI. The majority of the people think we are trash and we are contagious disease. Discrimination, violence, and humaliation are everywhere against LGBTI. The goverment and the police do not protect us. Even the police has special force task to track us down in my local police department.

I’m here to ask your help to fund me for all the legal actions that are needed. Any kind of help, either is money or useful information and legal action would be much appreciated.
