Lets create better ways of living

I’m Sinéad, an environmental architect, an artist, a Movement Medicine* teacher, and a woman of heart and great passion for our earth. Right now, I have one focus in my life – to help build and sustain resilient creative communities, and I want you to help me make this happen. I am spending a year exploring eco-community life as a setting for my creativity, and sharing my experiences as a way of inspiring eco-living opportunities. To do this I intend to raise €8,000 to cover my basic expenses through the sale of my art and through your donations.
I believe that harnessing our creativity is essential for human life at this time of change, in our climate, economy and social structures, and that by coming together we can co-create better, more joyful and resilient ways of living. I am putting my words into action by going to meet the doers and makers of progressive eco-communities, learning from their practical experience.
Last year my life focus found a home in the Findhorn Foundation in Scotland and in the Cloughjordan ecovillage in Ireland, where I spent time learning about how to harness the power of creativity in community through: a differnt pace of life that allows people more time for each other, working on practical community projects and through observing community decision making processes. I am dedicating this year of my life to resourcing myself, putting my own creativity and skills as a designer, maker, sculptor, teacher and visionary into action and sharing my journey with you as I go.
I am participating in community projects and offering my skills as an environmental architect, artist and Movement Medicine teacher: working on building projects, creating community art installations and offering classes. And I am sharing details of my journey including the inspiring people that I meet along the way, the ups and downs of skilling up, and practical information about day to day living that may inspire you to take creative action in your life.
I need €8,000 to cover some basic costs: food and shelter, for materials and travel. So far I have raised €2,500 from selling my art and now I am asking you to help me make up the balance. By contributing whatever you can afford you will become part of my journey of becoming an initiator, facilitator and advocate of eco-living opportunities.
My journey began in October 2016 and I hope you can join me through making a donation and following me on my blog. Thank you for reading.
* Movement Medicine is a moving meditation practice that deepens your connection to yourself, to your creativity and to the world around you.
