The Hennigans Lost Home to Fire
Donation protected
On January 16, 2015, Clarence and Tracey Hall-Hennigan were home when they discovered their neighbor’s house was on fire. Instead of notifying them of the potential danger, their neighbor first removed his truck from the scene to avoid damages. Luckily, Tracey and Clarence Hennigan, along with their good friend Vernon, escaped just as the fire began to brush the right side of their house. The fire might have been caused by the neighbor’s decision to place a generator on the first floor of his house. As a result, his home was leveled and several homes were damaged by smoke and water. The Hennigan’s home suffered a considerably large amount of damage as the entire right side, including the attic and basement, have been ruined by fire, along with their roof that was not even two years old. All that has not been impacted by fire has been ruined by water damage.
Currently, the Hennigans are renting a house while their home is being rebuilt. They are in need of donations for furniture, accessible technology, clothes, and other essentials. Your donations can provide suitcases, cooking equipment, lamps, medications, and other items frequently taken for granted. Or, your donations can fund large items, such as braille printers, software, a close circuit television, and more.
Tracey Hall-Hennigan and Clarence Hennigan are members of the National Federation of the Blind and Clarence is a member of the Baltimore Blind Bowlers league. For several members, the Hennigans are also known as family. Often times, they open their home or share their resources and food with anyone in need. If you feel led to, the Hennigans will be grateful for anything that you can provide for them during their time
of need.
