Linds' Stage 4 Breast Cancer Fund

Donation protected
Hi All! I started this page to reach out to anyone who might be able to help out. I know money is tight for everyone, but even single dollars add up.

My name is Lindsay and I was diagnosed with Metastatic Breast Cancer in 2012 at age 28. I was diagnosed two months after I got married to my wonderful husband Nic. Its not often someone so young is diagnosed with such an advanced disease... I'm dealing with it best I can. I had to undergo a few surgeries and I've been going through chemo for the entire time, although the medicine they have me on now makes me less sick than before.

I found out that I was BRCA1, so it is a hereditary gene problem that put me at such a high risk for breast cancer, as well as various other types of cancer. At the urging of my doctors, I also had my ovaries removed because the risk of ovarian cancer is so high. I cannot have my own children, but I have come to terms with it and I pour all of my love into my husband, my three kitties, my two dogs, and helping with rescue animals.

Bills have piled up from not being able to work for so long. I was working part time, but I got laid off and havent been able to find a new job. It is extremely hard to find new work when you have energy limitations as well as needing to be off quite a bit for doctors appointments, chemo, and the aftermath of chemo. We bought a house two years ago that needs a little bit of TLC and my beautiful family of kitties and doggies (some special needs) is far from cheap. I feel like the bills never end and my parents have to help us so much, it makes me so sad . Also, being diagnosed so soon after marriage, it is just a really hard thing to adjust to. My husband and I barely get to do anything together because he has to work two jobs just to get close to us paying the bills.

Anyway, I'm just putting this out there for anyone who is in a position to be able to help and to want to help someone who is struggling with the debt that accumulates from medical bills and the inability to work much do to chemo, surgeries, and other cancer related issues. I am now going to be on a drug that is a pill, and I have no prescription coverage. I don't even know how we are going to pay for it...hopefully we will find a program to help.

Nic and I have a dream of moving to a place where we can enjoy life more, be more surrounded by nature, and just live in a way that will make us happy for as long as I can keep up the good fight. We met on the west coast, and we definitely miss living there. Maybe with our hard work and the help of others, we might be able to achieve that goal.

I know I have done gofundme's before, but we are in the worst spot we have ever been. If you can help, please just share. I would appreciate it to no end. Thank you loves. <3

Thank you for viewing my page and reading our story. I hope everyone is having a lovely day :)

Love,
Linds
